We are lucky to hear wonderful stories and to see great photos from customers all the time.  Some stop by the store to share, some e-mail, or call. Some customers post things on Flickr or Twitter or Vimeo.  But I recently opened my e-mail and was totally surprised by a delightful — and delightfully odd — video created by some customers: three siblings who are budding filmmakers who all seem to really love smoked fish. In their movie, there is a whole whitefish on a date with a lady. Also, there is some heartbreak!

Aaron Walker wrote,

“I’m a student filmmaker and a huge lover of Russ & Daughters. I put together this slightly absurdist (and funny) little short film.  A little bit about myself: I go to Penn. I love cured fish, as do my siblings, with whom I made this short. So, about a month ago, the three of us bought a whitefish, which we had planned on eating. Then — and I believe it was my sister — someone lightbulbed and came up with the very solid idea of, before eating this whitefish, making a short film paean to not just cured and smoked fish, but also the bringer of cured and smoked fish into our lives: Russ & Daughters. This is the least we can do to say thanks! (And rumor has it our next project will involve babka.)”
